The Client’s Vision

Our client came to us with a clear dream: they wanted a warm, elegant, multifunctional living space with modern lines, natural materials, and seamless integration into their home’s existing design. The centerpiece would be custom solid walnut millwork that complemented the already-finished interiors.

The Challenges We Faced

This project pushed the boundaries of custom fabrication in several ways:

1. Matching Existing Wood Finishes

The home already featured high-end millwork and finishes in walnut, which meant every element we built had to match tone, grain, and finish perfectly. Achieving a consistent color and sheen between new and existing walnut surfaces was no easy feat—but through careful material selection and finishing techniques, we made it seamless.

2. Custom Louver System – The Biggest Challenge

One of the most unique features of this space is the custom-built, functional louver system—spanning floor to ceiling at over 14 feet high. But sourcing hardware that could:

Support the weight of solid walnut panels
Allow decorative yet strong rotation
Be installed at such height…

…was nearly impossible. So we engineered a solution from scratch.

Our team designed and fabricated custom hinges and mounting hardware that could handle the load, preserve aesthetic integrity, and allow for movement. The result? A striking architectural statement that functions just as beautifully as it looks.

3. Banquette & Bar Integration

The banquette seating and the bar weren’t just standalone pieces. They had to integrate with:

Ambient LED lighting
Electrical systems
Plumbing
Custom upholstery
Millimeter-perfect alignment with the marble backsplash and flooring

Every element was custom-built, assembled onsite, and installed with surgical precision.

From the shelving grid to the rotating louvers, bar fascia, and banquette frame, every component was handcrafted in-house using the highest-grade materials.

The Final Result

The once-empty room has been transformed into a luxury hospitality-grade lounge. The custom banquette seating wraps around a glass dining table. The bar is fully integrated with shelving, lighting, and premium finishes. The walnut louvers are not just decorative; they are fully functional, rotating panels that bring both privacy and elegance to the space.
