The perfect gift is always a gift from the heart!

Everyone, everywhere loves receiving gifts. Whether the gift be small or large it’s the thought behind the gift that means the most. Growing up as children we made many DIY (do it yourself) presents to give to our family members.

This idea in which you take something old and make it into something new to give it as a present to someone else, is a great idea. Recently this new form of giving a present has become popular simply because there is more thought put into it. Transforming a mason jar to a beautiful hand painted flower pot is thoughtful and sweet as well.

Simple DIY like tie dying an old tshirt and bejeweling a purse you don’t use are both simple and effective ways to regift that a friend or family member would love. Not only will they love it but you will enjoy the process of creating it as well. But there are more drastic forms of re-gifting that are not so simple yet still very effective for example re-gifting furniture.

Furniture? Gifting Old Furniture? Yes you can also gift your own furniture. This gift would be perfect if you are invited to a housewarming party. Being that furniture can be so expensive giving something you rarely use is smart and cost effective as well. To gift old furniture there are many different tactics one can use. The simplest one is custom made furniture this is because of the fact that you can have a custom made piece created from your old furniture. It doesn’t follow the do it yourself rules but in the end it is still your idea and that counts. The next on the list is to reupholster couch.

Reupholster can take a tattered and worn down couch and turn it into something fresh and new. It can be like buying a new case for your phone. It’s still the same phone but because you gave it a nice new outer layer it looks better, feels better and is better. Sofa fabrication doesn’t only have to be for couches. You can reupholster pretty much anything you own from headboards to chairs and everything in between.

For the savvy you can also redesign your old and used furniture. You can turn a table into two different and funky lamp side tables or two side tables into a unique table. Dressers and chairs can be turned into something completely new and all its own. Why spend money on buying new things while just throwing the old things away? Although receiving gifts is nice it’s the thought and the effort that was put into the gift that really makes it mean something. This year try not going out and buying something that has no meaning. Make a present that comes from the heart like you did when you were a child.
